The Pestilence of Evil: Have You Been Seduced By It?by: Mother Joy
We see it everywhere, and yet it has become such a common occurrence in today's society that evil is no longer shocking. It has come upon us gradually, similar to the old story about boiling water upon the frog in the pot. It is slowly but surely destroying us.
God warned us to humble ourselves. "If my people would humble themselves and seek my face, then shall they hear from heaven; and then shall I heal their land." If we seek God's face, He will certainly heal our land.
In the words of Malcolm X, it is true to this day that an entire nation of people has been 'duped, bamboozled and lied to' by Satan and his entire entourage. And, day after day, we continue to fall for the same foolishness. We have become a nation of Simple Simons.
Our children can hardly watch a television commercial, let alone a cartoon, that doesn't seem to require parental guidance or supervision. The internet has gotten completely out of control with illicit pop-ups and e-mails. The media, in all forms, can no longer seem to be trusted. Radio, TV, magazine, talk shows, the news...even evangelical television has been infiltrated with characteristics which are ungodly.
Many of our spiritual leaders today seem much more interested in fleecing the flock than leading or shepherding the sheep. Regarding tithes, there seems to be a redundancy in the reading of the scripture 'shall thou rob God?' in the Old Testament book of Malachi. When we truly place our faith in God, and are doing the work for which He has called us to do, we should not have to coerce anyone to meet our financial needs. God will. The Old Testament contains many, many other directives from God which are blatantly ignored. But, for some reason, we are obligated to the command to pay tithes. This is greed and a violation of faith. Additionally, this instills fear instead of love in God's people. God loves a cheerful giver.
There is additionally a spirit of hard-heartedness, lack of empathy and lack of compassion among christians and non-christians alike. One example is that christians cannot and do not get mental illness. This is a lie. Mental illness can manifest both physically and spiritually and should be treated in both ways and never neglected. I have seen and heard ministries instruct members who are ill in this way to use mind over matter. This is virtually impossible when one's mind is working improperly. I have heard ministers identify individuals as weak or demon-possessed, and thereby only exacerbating the pre-existing problem.
WAKE UP PEOPLE! God has given only some the gift of healing. God has provided all with access to the Holy Spirit, which will guide us in wisdom to excellent medical care. This is not in any way suggesting that we neglect prayer. For, elsewhere, it is written, 'if any of you be sick, go to the elders and have them pray over you and anoint your head with oil'. Pray for wisdom and guidance. Listen to that still small voice of God. Do not be led by any man/human...including myself. Wait on the Lord, and be of good courage. Wait, I say, on the Lord.
Always test the spirits.

"Beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God, and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love. Beloved, let us love one another." 1 John 4:7,8
