Mara Freeman is a keeper of the ancient Celtic spirit whose life is dedicated to reweaving the ancestral traditions of the British Isles and Ireland for today’s world through teaching, writing and storytelling. The legacy of the Bards and Druids is embodied in her transformational workshops, pilgrimages and retreats. She is the author of “Kindling the Celtic Spirit: Ancient Traditions to Illumine your Life through the Seasons,” (Harper SanFrancisco, 2001.) A modern Druid, Mara is an Archdruidess in the Irish Druid Clan of Dana, and Bard of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, the largest international modern druid order. Mara also works in private practice, carrying on the Irish tradition of Anamcara, or soul-guidance work, using her training as a transpersonal psychotherapist, astrologer and seer.
